Clear all symbols within a date range

Question:

I have a horizontal year-by-year listing of events for the next five years. I want to get rid of events (symbols) I scheduled in one year without clearing the other years' symbols. How can I do this?

Answer:

Select the rows which contain the symbols to be deleted.
On the Edit tab: Delete | Symbols by date range.
Specify either a date range or choose one of the other options:
