Currency symbol

Question:

I have a problem with the currency symbol display in a column. We use the Euro, ˆ (symbol). I have correctly set the Control Panel > Regional Options for currency in EURO with the symbol. Milestone does not seems to acknowledge the change and therefore I remain with the $ (US dollar Symbol) on each schedule. Is there a way to overcome the problem?

Answer:

Milestones does not create its own currency symbol; that symbol is retrieved from the Regional Options, as you indicated.

Only Values and Calculation/Indicator SmartColumns will automatically display the $ or Euro symbol according to the Regional Options.

Check the settings found in the column heading, by double-clicking the column heading, choosing the Column Formatting tab and check Display Value as Currency. Also, in that same dialog box, make sure that the column is a Values SmartColumn by choosing the SmartColumn Settings tab and choosing Values as the SmartColumn Definition.
