Filter using a text field

Question:

Let’s say I import my entire schedule from Project. Can I filter on a value in one of my columns so that only the tasks I want are displayed? I need to switch between views of 4 different teams without have to do the import separately for each team.

Answer:

This is easy by using the Filter Tool.

First select a column on the Milestones Schedule. Then:

Choose Filter Task Rows on the Tools tab.
Choose Column Text Containing... from the list
On the first row of the Column Text Filter Selection dialog box, choose Includes: and enter the text, for example Alpha.
Click OK. Save the filter.
