Software says it is a locked trial version

Question:     

I have purchased Milestones Professional. When I start the program I get the message: This is a locked trial version. What have I to do?

 

Answer:

Usually if the software is counting down saves as a trial version either the wrong version is installed or the keycode has not been applied to the software.  

Determine the version of software that is installed

On the Help tab, choose Full About Dialog.

The About dialog box will show the version installed.  For example, the top of the About dialog shows this for version 2017.

Determine the version of the software that was purchased

Check the serial number.  Serial numbers start with the version number.  For example, a serial number which begins with M2019 indicates Milestones Professional version 2019 while a serial number which begins with M2021 indicates Milestones Professional 2021.

If the incorrect version is installed, un-install and install the correct version

If the two versions do not match, then un-install the incorrect version and install the correct version.  During installation, apply the serial number and keycode.  Visit https://kidasa.com/downloads/ to look for the correct download.  This page will show the current version download links prominently.  Other versions are also shown in the Other Downloads section.

It the correct version is installed:

Be sure to enter the program key code which was delivered to you when you ordered the software.  To do so:

  1. On the Help tab, choose Enter Program Key.

  2. Enter the program key in the space provided.
