Microsoft Project: import custom symbol text

Many of the import choices will let you choose a field from Project to assign as symbol text.  One interesting thing to do is use Microsoft Project's customized fields with formulas.  For example, you could customize one of the Microsoft Project text fields to have both the Task Name and Percent Complete, thus bringing in two fields at once.  Here's a formula example:

[Name] & " " & [% Complete] & "%"

To enter a formula like this in Microsoft Project, add in a Text column, then right click the column and choose customize field, and then click the Formula radio button

Then, in the import wizard, most import types have a choice on the last screen to add symbol text.  Choose the text field from Microsoft Project that contains your custom formula:
