Move a symbol and keep the same date

Question:

When I move symbols to another task row, the dates changes. I want the dates to stay the same when the symbols are rearranged on the schedule. Is there a way to make them stick to their original date?

Yes. Here's what you should do:

Choose Dates on the Tools tab (Program Options section)
Check the option Lock Symbol to date.

Now, when you copy from one task row to another task row, the symbols will retain their dates.
