Print plotter size to file

Question:

To print a poster-size Gantt chart, we would have to print to a file and e-mail the file to a printing company with a large plotter (in the office, 11"x17" is the biggest we can print). Does Milestones offer this capability?

Answer:

Yes, as long as you have a Windows printer driver for the plotter you intend to use, it is possible to direct the output from any Windows printer driver to a file.

You should size the schedule in Milestones, using File | Page Layout to the size appropriate for your final output. In the printer setup, be sure to select the desired paper size and orientation prior to printing.

Many service providers now accept PDF format. This may be the easiest format to use. Check with your service provider. If PDF is accepted, just save your schedule as PDF format before sending.
