Roll up several bars

Question:     

How can I dynamically display how many tasks underlay a higher outline level?

For Example:

LEVEL 1 task

    level 2 subtask

    level 2 subtask

    level 2 subtask

The above example has 3 subtasks. When I collapse to Level 1, I only see

LEVEL 1 task

...but I would like to see all 3 tasks.

 

Answer:

  1. On the Layout toolbar, choose Summary Bar Settings.
  2. Check the option "Split Summary Bars Using Lower Level Symbols and Bars".

This will let you display the individual bars or symbols on the summary level.
