Show date and text on same line for a symbol

I have a few symbols on my schedule for which I would like to display both the start date AND the text on the same line on the left side of the symbol. Is there a way to combine the symbol text and the date?

Answer:

Yes, this is possible by using the &date substitutable string as part of the symbol text.

Hide the symbol date by setting the Vertical Date Placement to Hide. (see figure)
Set the Text Placement for the symbol text to Middle and Left.
In the Line 1 field for the symbol text, add &date to the symbol text string. This will cause the date to display along with the text.
