Text positioning on a dense master schedule

Question:

I have a template which I apply to a dense master schedule. I have a couple of problems with which I need help:

- When I apply the template, the text which is associated with my milestone symbols is getting re-positioned.
- When I apply the template, symbols which I have positioned (upper, middle, lower) are getting re-positioned.

Is there any way to lock it in for that one symbol use so the template does not change it?

Answer:

If your master schedule and sub schedules use the same symbols in the toolbox then all you have to do is set symbols in the tool box that have the text and position placement you need. Then when you bring the sub schedule into the master schedule the attributes of the symbols will not change.

In the example below, the toolbox has two possibilities for a red triangle (each has its own text position and position on the task row).

The toolbox can hold up to 32 symbols.
