About the date headings

Up to 4 date headings can be shown on a schedule. Headings can be placed above or below the schedule area (or both above and below). For each level, choose one of the 30+ built in headings or create a custom heading. It's even possible to set up logarithmic headings to enlarge one or more time period so that extra detail can be shown during that period.

Choose the arrow tool . Click once on the date headings within the schedule area. This will display the Selection menu.
Under Selection | Date Headings, choose up to four date headings for the schedule.

The Frequency of the date headings refers to displaying a specified date type at intervals, such as every 5 years, every 6 hours, etc.

In the example below, the schedule time span is from the beginning of 2005 until the end of 2014. The upper date heading displays years with a frequency of 5. The lower date heading displays quarters with the default frequency of 1.

Set the frequency for a date heading on the schedule:

Click the date heading on the schedule area once. This will display the Selection menu.
In the Date Headings section, choose the headings appropriate to the schedule.
In the Frequency section, enter a value to display the Heading Type at intervals. For example, a yearly heading level with a frequency of 5 means every 5 years, a monthly heading level with a frequency of 4 means every 4 months.
Click to apply the Frequency changes.
