1. In the toolbox, double-click the symbol to change.

2. In the Symbol Options dialog box, select the Text and Date Properties tab.

3. As changes are made, the Sample Symbol on top of the dialog box will reflect the selections.

Symbol date and text positions for individual symbols already placed on the schedule can be customized.

1. Click .

2. Click once on the symbol on the schedule.  This will display the Selection menu.  Choose the Text tab.

3. Under Date Placement, make selections.

4. Under Text Placement, make selections.

3. To alter Date Placement, use ALT + Ctrl + Arrow Keys

4. To alter Text Placement, use ALT + Arrow Keys

Hide all dates and/or text which appear next to symbols. This feature overrides text and date position settings in the toolbox and for individual symbols already placed on the schedule.

1. Choose View | Other | Override Symbol Text and Date Display.

2. Under Dates, choose Hide all symbol dates.

3. Under Text, choose Hide all symbol text.

4. Check Use Toolbox and individual symbol date/text settings to revert to toolbox date and text settings and override settings for symbol on the schedule.

Adjust the proximity of symbol text to the symbols:

1. Choose Tools | Program Options | Edit.

2. Under the heading Adjust Horizontal Symbol Text Position, choose one of the options Closest, Closer, Normal, or Further.
