Default text and substitutable text strings

The best way to do this is with default text.  Default Text is a symbol property for each toolbox symbol.  It allows you to assign text to a symbol that will appear each time that symbol is added to the schedule.  In addition, you can easily insert column text as default text.  To assign default text:

1. Double-click the symbol in the toolbox

2. Click on the Default Text tab.

3. Next to each text-entry box is a selection menu that contains all columns on the schedule.  Select the column that contains your task names and click Insert to assign that column's text as symbol text.

4. Now, each time you add that symbol, the column text you inserted will appear automatically as symbol text.
