Frequency of use by toolbox symbol

Question:

Is there a way to get a summary of how many times each toolbox symbol has been used? I need to identify which symbols in the toolbox have been used the least.

Answer:

You could create a Symbol Type report and then sort it in Excel:

On the Tools tab, choose Symbol in the Reports section.
On the list, choose Symbol Type.
Click the Copy Report to Clipboard button.
In Excel, paste the report.
Sort on the Symbol type column.
