Hyperlink from schedule to document

Question:

I need to add a page of text explaining why any scheduled date has changed. Is there a way I can link "Milestones" to a "Word" document?

Answer:

With the recent versions of Milestones, it's possible to add very long notes to any symbol on the schedule. If notes are not sufficient, it is easy to can create a hyperlink between any symbol on the Milestones schedule to any document.

Add a link from a symbol to a schedule or to any other Windows document:

Click .
Right-click the milestone symbol to which you want to add a link.
Click Create or Update Hyperlink to bring-up the Hyperlinks tab of the Symbol Properties dialog box.
Click Add File.
Click Files of Type and select the type of file you want to add. Choose All Files to view all files.
Locate and select the file you want to link.
Click Open.
