Map multiple deliverables or milestones from Excel

Question:

I need a chart that shows a program where each project has one timeline but there are a number of markers on that timeline to indicate dates for various deliverables along the timeline. I need to create this chart weekly from data contained in an Excel spreadsheet. I can't figure out the Milestones mapping. How do I find out what fields hold the data for each milestone symbol?. I'm hoping I can accomplish this without any programming.

I have 15 different rows (sites) that I'm just showing a milestone for each. Now I want to show the shift which will be another 15 milestones. That is 30 different milestones in total. Is there a way to use to one milestone for multiple rows (sites) or is it a 1:1 ratio? I would like to have the original milestones one color and the remaining milestones to be another color. Just seeing if there is an easier option.

Answer 2:

First, the Excel spreadsheet needs to be set up with multiple columns. (One row for each task in Milestones)

You then map each column to a Milestones _Date_1, Task _1_Start_Date or Task _1_End_Date (not both Start or End Date fields together as you will get a horizontal connection between the Milestones).
