Milestones Viewer starts up instead of my Milestones software

Question:     

For some reason, when I double-click to open one of my schedules, I now get a much smaller one with not very many toolbar items.  How can I get my toolbar items back?

I recently purchased Milestones Professional and it was working just fine.  I downloaded the free Milestones Viewer and now, when someone sends me a Milestones file, it opens using the viewer instead of my originally installed Milestones software.   HELP!

 

Answer:

If the Viewer is installed afterMilestones Professional is installed, the Viewer takes over all file types associated with Milestones.  So, when a Milestones file is double-clicked, instead of Milestones Professional, the free Milestones Viewer will open the file.  Generally, there is no need to install the Viewer if you already have Milestones Professional installed.  However, the problem can be corrected quite easily.

Correctly register your Milestones software

Make sure the Viewer is not running.

Start your Milestones software.

Choose the Tools tab.

Under Program Options, choose Files and Automation.
