The percent complete symbol (shape # 97) can used to show a percent complete value. Symbols can be either a) added to the schedule or b) entered in a column as column text using the &symbol command.
Here is an example of this symbol shape, filled to show 25% complete:
Use the percent complete symbol in the schedule area:

In the , double-click a symbol to be used as the percent complete symbol.

In the Symbol Shape tab, choose #97 from the list of Standard Shapes.

Change the symbol to a Comment Symbol. On the default template, this symbol is already present in the last row of the toolbox.

In the Color/Pattern/Size/Shadow tab, choose the fill color and the after status color for the percent complete symbol.

Using the plus tool, add the symbol created in the toolbox to the schedule.
