Remove the end lines from a bar

How do I get rid of the short lines at each end of a bar, so the color flows smoothly?

Version 2025 can leave the ends off a bar, and adds a double-gradient style that blends two gradients in one bar.

In the toolbox, double-click the bar.
Check Leave off ends of rectangular connector.
For a gradient, choose a Target Color and a special color effect, such as the new double gradient.
Click OK.
