Question:

I want to show a title to the left of my schedule. I want to show the text in white with a navy background. Is this possible in Milestones?

Answer:

Yes. You could use rotated free-form text or rotated column text to accomplish this. (It's also possible to rotate column heading text or column text (See below).)

Rotate freeform text:

Since you want the text to the left of your schedule, you may need to increase the left margin. Do this via the Layout tab.
In the toolbox, select the T (text) tool.
Click once in an unused part of your schedule.
Type in the text.
In the toolbox, select (the arrow tool).
Click once on the text block you just typed. The toolbar changes to Current Object: Freeform Text
Set the Fill Color to a dark blue or navy color.
Un-check Transparent (Disables Background Color).
Set the Text Color to white.
Set the Angle to 90.
Make any other changes you would like.

Rotate column text

Select the column. The toolbar changes to Current Object : Column.
In the toolbar, in the Column Type and Format section, choose the angle for Cell Text:

0°	90° (L)	-90° (L)	90° (C)	-90° (C)	90° (R)	-90° (R)

Rotate text in the column headings

Select the column. The toolbar changes to Current Object : Column.
In the toolbar, in the Column Heading Text Display Settings section, choose the angle for Cell Text (0, 90 or -90)
