Question:
I have the Symbols: Fill to Status Date and Bars: Fill to Status Date options toggled on. However, it is not working. What could be disabling this feature?
Bars are not filling to status line. The Bars - Fill to Status Date option on the Dates tab is checked. I have followed these instructions: "Showing progress with Milestones Professional is easy with the Fill Symbol/Bars to Status Date feature. With Fill Symbol/Bar to Status Date, the symbols and bars before the current date are filled (to indicate they are finished), while the symbols and bars after the current date are hollow or filled with a user-defined color (to indicate they are not finished). The hollow fill is the default white fill. Choose any after-status fill color by double-clicking the appropriate bar in the toolbox."

Answer:
There are a number of things which can affect the Fill to Status. Set options for symbols and bars by double-clicking a symbol or a bar in the toolbox.

Check to make sure that the symbols in use are normal symbols. (not baseline, comment or status)

Be sure the fill color for symbols are not set to white.

Be sure that the "after status" fill color for symbols are not set to the same color as the fill color. The after status color should be different!

Some symbols do not fill or change after the status date. These include #7, 16, 19, 26, 27, 28, 33

Some bar types do not change pattern or fill after the status date. These include #15, 27-29, 33, 38, 43-46,
