Status Date SmartColumn

The Status Date SmartColumn displays the status date, or progress date, of each activity.

By default the status date is the same as the current date. To override this date, enter a new status date, move each activity's status symbol, change the percent complete value, or enter a date offset value of days and hours ahead or behind schedule.

Add a Status Date SmartColumn:
  1. Choose Insert | Rows, Columns | New Column | Dates...

  2. Status Date

  3. Optionally, click once on the new Status Date column heading to display the Selection menu and view the Column Heading Text section.

  4. Make formatting changes as needed.

About summary level dates in the Status Date SmartColumn:

For summary level status dates, the date closest to the bar fill for the summary bar, based on the summary level's percent complete value, is displayed.

That is, the percent complete value determines how much of the summary bar is filled. The date to which it fills is the Status Date for that summary task.

In this example, the horizontal bar fills 63% of the summary bar, which is a fill up to 2/25. Therefore, the status date for this summary row is 2/25.

Optionally, hide summary status dates under Layout | Other | Summary Bar Settings | Exclude Computed Status Dates in Summary Rows.
