Is there a way to reduce or increase the size of the expand/collapse indicators?
Answer:
You cannot change the size. The size is relative to the schedule size and rows per page. When the zoom is increased, they tend to slightly over-run their cell's height (increase in size).

I added the collapse/expand indicators to my schedule but I don't see them. Do you have any suggestions?
Answer
Collapse/Expand indicators are automatically added to Column #10 on your schedule. This is the column directly to the left of the schedule area. If you have that column hidden, you will not be able to see the indicators.

I have an outlined schedule and would like to be able to click an indicator to collapse or expand tasks. Right now I don't see any.

On the View tab, under Optional items, 
Collapse/Expand Indicators.

Collapse expand indicators are visible on my schedule (for task rollup). What I would like to know is why some of the collapse/expand indicators are much smaller than others? Why are they different sizes?
Answer:
The collapse/expand indicators will be the same size if the vertical height of all the rows on your schedule is consistent. If, however, you have a summary row which is much smaller than the other rows on the schedule, Milestones will shrink the collapse/expand indicator for that row so that it will fit.
