Summary bar not aligning with lower level symbols and bars

Question:

The summary bar isn't always extending out to the latest dates of the lower level symbols. Not sure what is going on.

Answer:

After examining your schedule we were able to determine that some of the symbols were defined as "comment" symbols.

Comment symbols are typically added on schedules which require additional notation. They do not affect duration and are not taken into consideration when Milestones draws the summary bars.

To change a symbol to a "normal" symbol, double-click the symbol in the toolbox and choose Normal.
