Passwords and symbol linking

If I password-protect a schedule, will others be able to "link" into my schedule even though they may be read-only? I'm going to be starting a "prime" schedule that has dates that other schedules within the area will be getting dates from. I want to password-protect this schedule from any changes all the while allowing folks to link into it. Will they be able to link?

Answer:

Password protection will not interfere with symbol linking in this case. They can update their schedules with your password-protected schedule's symbol dates.
