Toolbox drawing tools are grayed out

Question:

I can't seem to invoke the "line, box, circle" row in my toolbox. It remains grayed out. What am I doing wrong? I am using the Standard Toolbox view. I really need the "line tool" right now.

Answer:

The drawing tools are available in most views. However, if you are working in Continuous View (F8), drawing tools will be grayed out. The easiest solution is to press F8 and switch out of continuous view to add graphics to the schedule.
