Percent Complete Gridlines

Percent Complete gridlines fill the task row within the schedule area by the task's % complete. Percent complete gridlines use the length of the available schedule area to determine the amount shaded per task row. Therefore, a task that is 100% complete will have percent complete gridlines that fill the entire task row.  For a task that is 50% complete, the shading will fill half-way on the row.

Set up Percent Complete Gridlines:

Choose Format | Gridlines | Percent Gridlines.

  1. Draw Percent Complete Gridlines to show the percent complete gridlines in the schedule area.

  2. Under Colors and effects, press the Change button to choose a Shade Color and an Effects Target Color.

  3. Change the Special Effects for the color fading from the Shade Color to the Effects Target Color.

  4. Under Select where to obtain percent, choose either:

Use computed percent complete for each task to fill in the schedule area of the task row according to its percent complete status.

Use value from column below to pick a column from the drop-down menu which will compute the amount of fill for the schedule area of the task row.

This dialog box is also available from the Percent Complete Settings box.  Select the percent complete on the schedule.  Then choose the Properties button on the Selection menu.  Use the Percent Complete Smartcolumn or a Calculation/Indicator SmartColumn to determine the percent complete gridline shading.
