Internet Publishing Wizard - Publish a hierarchy of linked schedules as HTML

Milestones Professional's Internet Publisher lets the user publish a single schedule as HTML, or a complete hierarchy of schedules, complete with hotspots, in minutes.

For each schedule, the Internet Publishing output is an HTML document containing a picture of each page of the schedule, optional tables of schedule data, and more.

Set up a hierarchy of schedules to be published:

1. From the top level or main schedule, add symbol hyperlinks to other schedules (typically, these schedules contain more detail or related information).

2. Optionally, from these secondary schedules, add symbol hyperlinks to further detailed schedules, if they exist.

Publish a hierarchy of schedules as HTML and pictures:

1. Open the top level schedule.

2. Choose File | Export Options | Internet.

3. HTML File with Optional Pictures.

4. Create HTML Files for Hyperlinked schedules from this file and all linked schedules so that hyperlinked schedules are processed, and then Next.

5. Choose an HTML Background Color, and then Next.

6. Enter a Title for the HTML page, and then Next. For no title, just key an HTML command, such as <br>.

7. Select the Bitmap Options and then Next.

8. Select the Task Table Options and then Next.

9. Select Additional Options and then Next.

10. Choose Browse to select the file name and location for the HTML and graphics files.  

11. Choose Next and Finish.

Example: Hierarchy of linked schedules in HTML:

 When processing hyperlinks from linked schedules, the names of the pictures use the names of the HTML page with a number and picture extension appended. For example, if the schedule has the name ProjectA.mlq, then the picture of the third schedule page will be named ProjectA.mlq.html003.jpg.  The HTML Task Table's heading background color is based on the column heading background color from the Milestones schedule.
