If duration calculations need to be accurate only to the day, then there is no need to define Workday Time. When the Hourly/Minute tab on the Schedule Details dialog box is chosen, there is Start Time 1/End Time 1 and Start Time 2/End Time 2 in the Workday Time box. This box enables calculations of durations for split shifts. For example, a company’s typical day may include an 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. shift and a 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. shift. Because no work is done between 12 p.m. and 1 p.m., there is a choice not to include that time in the duration calculations. Set workday start and end times:
