The current date

The current date, as set by the computer's clock or an override date, can be displayed above the upper right corner of the schedule (by default) or anywhere on the schedule.   Additionally, a current date line can be customized and displayed.

Display the current date above the upper right corner of the schedule

1. Choose Dates | Current Date.
2. Display Date to display the current date.

Display the current date anywhere on the schedule

1. Click  (the toolbox Text tool.)
2. Click once on the screen at a spot where the current date should be displayed.
   • Type &date to display the current schedule date, as determined by the computer clock or an override date (e.g. 12/30/23).
   • Type &sysdate to display the computer clock's date (e.g. 12/30/23).
   • Type &systime to display the computer clock's time (e.g. 09:15:33).
3. Click away from the freeform text block to display the date.

Override the current date

Milestones Professional picks up the current date from the computer’s built-in clock and displays it in the upper right hand corner, just above the schedule area. Optionally, override that date to be any date.

1. Choose Dates | Current Date | .

2. In the Current Date section, under Override Date, enter a date or select a date using the calendar icon.

Display and format the current date line

1. Choose Dates | Current Date.
2. Display Date Line.
3. Click to access other Date Line properties, such as line type, thickness, and color.
4. Optionally, in the Selection | Date Line section, choose to:
   1. Extend into DataGraph Area.  Extend the line into the DataGraph.
   2. Line is under bars.  Place the line behind the horizontal bars in the schedule area.

 To display the years as four digits, choose Tools | Program Options | Dates and Use 4 Digits When Displaying Years. The date format is set by the Regional Options short date format.
