Display bar, lines, wide bars or points in the DataGraph

A DataGraph converts ValueSet values to line or bar graphs. Each of the three available DataGraphs can be formatted differently to show lines, bars, points, or wide bars.

Select DataGraph bars, wide bars, lines or points:

  1. Choose Tools | Graph Options | Setup DataGraphs.

  2. Click the tab for DataGraph 1, DataGraph 2, or DataGraph 3.

  3. Under Data Display Format,  Lines (line graph), Bars (bar graph),  Wide Bars (bars which fill the full width of the available area) or Points (hi/low),

    • If Bars or Wide Bars are selected, choose Stack Bars to stack bars from multiple ValueSets on top of one another.

    • If Points is selected, set the symbol to use for the points on the individual ValueSets.

Set up a "hi-low" graph:

  1. Set up 2 ValueSets, one for the High values and one for the Low values.  For this example, they will be called High and Low.

  2. In the Graphic Properties for the High ValueSet, make a selection for Symbol for Point Graphs.  Also, set the line color and pattern.

  3. In the Graphic Properties for the High ValueSet, make selections for Line Style and Line/Bar Color.

  4. In the Graphic Properties for the High ValueSet, set the High/Low Graph Connection to Low (the other ValueSet) so that the High and Low ValueSets will be connected.

  5. In the Graphic Properties for the Low ValueSet, make a selection for Symbol for Point Graphs.

  6. Add both ValueSets to a DataGraph.

  7. Set the Data Display Format to Points.
